Creator UGC Editor#

Clean up raw creator footage without killing the native feel.

Problem it solves#

A lot of creator-shot footage has authentic energy but poor structure: long starts, repeated lines, weak pacing, messy cuts, and no clear usable version. This skill helps shape rough creator UGC into a cleaner asset that still feels native.

Use when#

• A creator or commerce team has rough UGC footage that needs cleanup
• The footage should feel native, not overproduced
• The goal is a cleaner usable asset for ads, TikTok Shop, or storefront content
• A team wants editing guidance or structure instead of random trimming

Do not use when#

• The user needs full cinematic editing or motion graphics
• The footage is fundamentally unusable and needs reshooting
• The main task is only format conversion or resizing

Inputs#

• Raw creator footage
• Target use case: ad, TikTok Shop, PDP, creator post, review clip, etc.
• Desired tone: raw, polished-raw, direct-response, storefront-safe
• Optional target duration and must-keep talking points

Workflow#

1. Identify the strongest proof, product, or creator moments.
2. Cut filler, repetition, and awkward sections.
3. Tighten the structure while preserving native creator energy.
4. Match the final cut style to the intended destination.
5. Flag if the footage needs additional reshoot or support assets.

Output#

Return:

1. Edit strategy
2. Keep vs cut recommendations
3. Tone guidance
4. Best-fit final use case
5. Risks or weak spots in the source footage

Quality bar#

• Preserve native creator feel
• Improve clarity without making it look over-edited
• Keep proof, relevance, and pace strong
• Be honest when source footage is weak
