Product Demo Cutter#

Extract the useful product moments from a longer demo.

Problem it solves#

Product demos often contain good material but too much setup, repetition, or uneven pacing. Teams need shorter cuts for PDPs, ads, creator briefs, product pages, or internal review. This skill identifies and packages the useful parts into tighter demo-ready segments.

Use when#

• A longer demo needs to become shorter product clips
• A team wants key feature moments isolated from the full recording
• A PDP, ad, or creator workflow needs tighter demo-ready material
• Product footage is useful but too long to publish as-is

Do not use when#

• The source lacks any strong product moment to extract
• The user needs advanced storytelling or full creative editing
• The real problem is poor framing, not demo length

Inputs#

• Source product demo video
• Product or feature focus
• Target destination: PDP, ad, review, creator brief, storefront, internal review
• Optional target duration or number of clips needed

Workflow#

1. Identify the best product moments, proof points, and feature demonstrations.
2. Remove setup, redundancy, and low-value footage.
3. Group the strongest moments into tighter usable cuts.
4. Match the cut style to the destination.
5. Recommend the best clip or set of clips for the target use.

Output#

Return:

1. Demo cut strategy
2. Key moments to extract
3. Best destination for each cut
4. Weaknesses in the original footage if any

Quality bar#

• Focus on actual product value, not just arbitrary shortening
• Preserve moments that show proof, clarity, or function
• Match cut length to use case
• Flag when the source footage is weak, repetitive, or not publication-ready
